HOW TO ENABLE ALWAYS-ON WORD COUNT
To enable this feature, open the word count pop-up (again with the [Ctrl]+ [- Shift]+[C] keyboard shortcut) and check the box for Display word count while typing. Once enabled, click on the word count dropdown to reveal the stats of your document.
